It's June

June 12, 2018

It's already June. I can't believe it. I honestly think time is just flying by this year. Before we know it July will be here and then summer will be over.

This month, even though we are only a third in, has been pretty eventful for me. First starting with the addition in the family. If you are following me on Instagram then you know I have adopted a puppy recently. It was like a birthday present to myself. I adopted an Australian Shepherd mix. She is full of energy and I barely see her lay down... EVER. Her and the cat are getting along extremely well which I am happy about. That was my biggest worry when I was adopting. I have seen the cat, Lupin, play with other dogs that are in the family, but I didn't know how will this puppy will do with her. When I first met her at the shelter she was extremely timid and afraid of everything. She wouldn't walk on the leash and I had to pick her up to take her home. The volunteers at the shelter even had to pick her up out of the kennel and pass her off to me. Now? I swear I have a totally different dog. Her personality has fully bloomed. She is currently teething so I have to keep a watchful eye on her. So far this week with her she has recognized that she is on a feeding schedule, she has only had 1 accident in the house, and she has learned the stairs which prompted me to get baby gates. Lots of shoes have ended downstairs because of her. Which can be helpful but she’s bringing down ones I don’t need.

I wasn't able to go to Costa Rica like I was hoping to in June, because of other opportunities that came up, but I am able to plan a trip for Christmas. I'm not sure if I want to go to Costa Rica for Christmas or do a snowy get away here in Colorado and snowboard for the holiday.

For those who have been following me since I started this blog be prepared to see a style change. I am still going to share what I have learned, my love for food, and finances. I know finance is boring, but it is my passion to teach what I know with those who have not been able to grasp some of the concepts. I will also be more active on the Instagram account, so please follow me there if you are not already. That's where you will see my updates in between posts. Now I can't promise that it will be interesting 100% of the time. This is a hobby of mine and I love sharing with anyone who is willing to learn, but I am human and can't make giant promises. What I can promise is that I will be real and relate-able. Nothing is more infuriating than opening up instagram and becoming depressed because you're life isn't somebody else's, just remember... it's all a facade.

Now this is only the beginning, so I hope you stay along for the ride.

Right now I am trying to watch TV in my basement but my internet is being all wonky. First world problem am I right? I spent way too much time trying to get Season 5 of Game of Thrones to load. You read that correctly, I am behind. My desk and office space is in the basement as well so I am kind of invested in trying to get it to work at this point. I usually don't have this problem.

Hmmm... about me. I hate about me's. While I can get on a soap box and talk forever about what I am passionate about, I can truly say I do not like talking about myself whatsoever.
