Hello Everyone! This is going to be the happiest post yet!
This past weekend I found a house! I am so freaking excited and now I am in shock and awe. I wanted to tell you about the timeline of events because it still cracks me up and makes me all giddy.
Saturday morning I woke up and as always I check to see if there are any new listings. There was one new listing... at 7 am I send my realtor a message and she was already ready for me. She had already spoken to my mortgage officer, gave me an idea of how much it would be monthly. My response was, "OKAY! I LOVE IT! JUST BY THE PICTURES I WANT TO MARRY IT!" Her response? "Okay, let's see if we can get this seller to facilitate this marriage".
Within a few hours I was able to see the house. I fell in love even more. I was ready for my offer, which was high. My realtor spoke with the listing agent and we learned that the seller really needs a flexible closing date because she is moving out of state. I CAN GIVE HER THAT! Then the listing agent said not to offer as high as planned because she said it won't appraise that high. At this point I was trying not to get too excited... but it felt as if the universe was aligning.
The offer was drawn and sent over to the seller... SHE SIGNED WITHIN 5 HOURS!
I was at the Colorado Rapids game when I got the call to go wedding dress shopping, I WAS GETTING MARRIED TO MY HOUSE! I was on the phone with my realtor doing a little giddy dance.
Throughout this process I was getting so defeated, but just kept telling myself when it is meant to be it is meant to be, and guess what, this house is everything I wanted. I got my garage, my little backyard, and the square footage I needed, all for under my budget. How awesome is that?!
So today is inspection day. I am hoping everything goes smoothly from here on out. I am trying not to get my hopes up because I am in fear that the other shoe will drop. I have been on Pinterest every day putting together some great DIY's and getting excited to make this house my home.
